A very down-to-earth Kiwi from the West Coast, Ruth is ever so humble about her accomplishments and an inspiration to many. ‘"I discovered CurraNZ after hearing about how it can help with recovery, which proved true. However, what I noticed most was not only an increase in energy levels but an elevated feeling of overall health and wellbeing."
Dougal Allan
I’ve seen big differences from year to year using CurraNZ. I train my body through the full spectrum - slow energy training, tempo work, threshold stuff, VO2max – and I personally feel I’m more efficient at every level of output….I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, CurraNZ is a game changer for me’Dougal Allan is our longest-standing Kiwi ambassador and a big name in the world of multisport. Having won New Zealand’s Coast to Coast race twice and podiumed nine times, Dougal is a veteran in multi-discipline races and has competed all over the world. A Southlander who is respected for his tenacity and perseverance, Dougal’s cycling prowess gained the attention of Emirates Team NZ who selected him for their team of Cyclors to power the New Zealand boat at the 2024 America’s Cup in Barcelona. Sam Harvey
Sam Harvey is an ultra-distance runner who recently exploded onto the Backyard Ultra scene in spectacular style, equalling the world record of 677km / 100 laps in five days when taking on the reigning USA and Australian record holders in Queenland in June 2023.The Backyard Ultra format is a ‘last man standing’ event where runners complete a 6.7km loop every hour until they can’t. There is only one winner and everyone else is counted as a DNF (Did Not Finish). This brutal ‘no consolation prize’ format attracts some of the toughest runners on the planet and most entrants compete to see how far they can run instead of some specific distance. ‘I have been super impressed with the results, mostly from the recovery perspective, but also due to the significantly reduced heart rate on my daily runs. Over the last two months, my average heart rate has dropped as much as 10 beats per minute without reducing my physical output. Super important when you are running 200+ km races! I have always been a very science-focused athlete, and with Curranz, the science is SOLID!’
Caitlin ‘Pip’ Fielder
‘I have been using Curranz for over 3 months now and believe I can truly feel the difference. It used to take me a long time to feel recovered after an effort or race, but by including CurraNZ in my recovery routine I noticed I was feeling a lot better within the first week post races. This was very evident after racing Zegama. It’s so convenient to take Curranz along to races and training camps, and by taking it before sessions, it’s really easy to incorporate into my everyday routine.‘I have a science background and reading the research and peer-reviewed studies shows the evidence backing up the claims. The fact that it is also Informed-Sport gives me a lot of confidence in taking the supplement.’Tarawera Ultra 50km Champion in 2020 and 2021, Pip is a fast-rising star of the trail running scene. The Kiwi competes in UTMB in Europe and is a regular podium finisher, with top-three finishes in races like the Mont Blanc 42km marathon (second in 2022). She was recently runner-up at Zegama (50km) and then went on to represent New Zealand at the World Mountain & Trail Running Championships, fishing 12th out of 114 participants.
Dan Jones
With his name engraved on the Kepler Challenge Trophy five times, Dan is a leading light in the New Zealand running scene, having also won the Auckland, Queenstown & Wellington marathons. A win in the Tarawera 102km race 2023 earned the Wellingtonian a golden ticket to the prestigious Western States Endurance Race. Dan made an outstanding debut, his first 100-mile event, finishing fifth in a race stacked with some of the world’s elite runners."In endurance sport, there is an edge that you can push your body to before it breaks. There's a reason why a bunch of top athletes that I look up to are taking CurraNZ, they know the benefits that you can get from going a bit further or a bit faster and to feel a bit fresher that next day. I'm stoked to say that these natural purple pills are now a part of my recovery and performance protocol and I'm still testing my edge. I've been pushing things to the limit lately with 230km weeks in my build up to Western States 100 miler and I look forward to seeing just how far these things will take me."
David Haunschmidt
‘"I have been using CurraNZ as part of my toolbox to help with this. I’ve noticed a difference since taking these, particularly when training and racing around nights.I take very few supplements. When I do, because of my background, I approach this in the most analytical evidence-based way possible."I really like that the team at CurraNZ are all about this and are producing studies and attempting to provide quality data on its effects. I'm excited to follow their progress, ongoing research, and receive support for my training and racing."Emergency Room Doctor by day (and often by night) and an avid runner outside his working hours, David is a prolific winner of trail and ultra races across NZ, notably holding the course records for the 21km and 50km distances at Tarawera – and five other races. David resides in Wellington and is a regular in Xterra and Ironman to boot. An ex-pat from Scotland, blustery cold Wellington weather doesn’t bother him at all.
