'They're the Nike Vaporfly of supplements, they're that good'

on March 14, 2023

Triathlete-turned ultra-runner and CurraNZ fan Mark Darcy wrote into us recently with some insights as he cranks up preparations for his A race, the Centaur 100-Mile Ultra 'Beast' in June, held in Dorking, England.

The British trail-runner has been putting CurraNZ through its paces with a long training run on the Jurassic Coast and the Lulworth Cove Ultra (54km) late February.

Mark (pictured left with some ultra-running friends), writes: “What a race! Lulworth Cove was 54km with 7,000 ft of climbing. It was brutal, but thanks to CurraNZ, I had a solid race that went 95% according to plan, I just couldn’t compete with the mountain runners due to their technique etc.

“I felt unbelievable after the event. I did some active recovery on Sunday and Monday, by Tuesday I went for a bike ride and did some Pilates, on Wednesday I swam 2.6km and a did a hard-effort ride, followed by gym club for the kids. On Thursday I ran, on Friday I swam 3km and rode and on Saturday I did a 24km off-road run!

“I’ve tried and seen a lot of things and nothing has ever had this much of a positive impact on me. CurraNZ deserves to be regarded as the Nike Vaporfly of supplements, it’s that good.”

We wish Mark all the best as he counts off the events this spring towards his 100-miler in June, with plans afoot to qualify for the iconic ‘Western States 100’ in the US.
