As the first to discover that New Zealand blackcurrants enhance exercise performance, our company has come a long way establishing our proprietary CurraNZ extract supplement as an exciting supplement and ingredient in sports nutrition since embarking on the research program a decade ago.

Since September 2020, CurraNZ has won eight awards on three continents, earning international recognition that establishes the product as one of the brightest and best in Europe, America and Asia.

The ESSNA is the trade body and voice representing the specialist sports nutrition sector in Europe. CurraNZ enjoyed a clean sweep in its two categories in 2021, winning the Best Post Workout award for the second year running, and taking out the big award of the night.

On awarding CurraNZ the top-joint prize, judges said: “A great, innovative ingredient that is well-researched and applicable for various sports nutrition applications. A super interesting product and a clear effort from the entrant to back up its claims with evidence”.

For the second year running, CurraNZ scooped the Best Post Workout Product of the Year Award.

The judges commented: “CurraNZ is a fantastic product with some great research to back it up. The demand is clearly there from elite sporting organisation across the world to support the recovery from exercise. This can translate well into the active population. In addition to this, the fact that is supports vasodilation may help other health related issues away from sport performance.

Having won this award in Asia 2020, it was an important milestone being crowned with the Sports Nutrition Product Award in USA last year. The broad application and research behind CurraNZ came in for special mention at the awards ceremony:

The reader-voted awards saw CurraNZ take out the Best Recovery Product award and was runner-up in the Best Nutritional Supplement category against some big players in sports nutrition. 

The awards are testament to the recognition of our growing body of research and market popularity, not to mention real-world results CurraNZ customers have enjoyed down the years.
