Pauline Foster’s Story: “CurraNZ Lets Me Do What I Love - Run!”

For Pauline Foster, running isn’t just a hobby - it’s a lifeline. Living with severe uncorrected scoliosis, our British customer, 64, (pictured, right) has had to contend with balance challenges and inflammation all her life, plus chest problems and asthma. 

But thanks to CurraNZ, a high-potency blackcurrant supplement, she’s found a way to keep moving, stay healthy, enjoy a social life around her running and enjoy the sports she loves.

Pauline, a retired analytical chemist from Wigan, took up running in her 50s, when taking part in Race For Life, a 5K fundraiser for cancer. 

She says: “I enjoyed the challenge and started to run a bit more. I joined a running club and found myself running five days a week. 

“It was great for a short time, but then I started to get injured. I visited physiotherapists and chiropractors and they all said my scoliosis was the cause of the problem. However, the increased training demands only led to more issues, with fatigue, soreness and tiredness holding her back.  

She reflects: “Fitting in the strength work, as well as running was tiring me out. It was a vicious circle - I needed to do the strength work to run, but my body ached too much afterwards - and I was too sore to run.”
