With the turn of the year upon us, we look back at the long list of athletes who achieved sporting greatness with CurraNZ in 2023:
Our mighty 'Honomas' have a certain love affair with CurraNZ after remarkable last-second victories against England, Australia and Belgium in the men's hockey World Cup in Indian in January.
Newcomers to CurraNZ, the team publicly credited our product for providing a noticeable competitive advantage in the heat of battle that helped them to the World Championship title.
New Zealand All Blacks - Runners-Up, 2023 Rugby World Cup
It was a close one! New Zealand's national rugby team put up a mighty display in the 2023 World Cup using our Healthspan Elite CurraNZ supplement.
British ultra-runner Kristian Morgan set a new FKT on his fourth attempt (and first with CurraNZ ;-) on the Southbound route of America's longest hiking trail in September.
He ran 2,189 miles in 45 days, 4 hours and 27 minutes, beating the previous record set by 'SpeedGoat' Karl Meltzer in 2016.
Christian Meier - Les Traces du Duc de Savoy winner, UTMB
Ultra-runner Christian Meier secured the biggest international win of his career in the 145-km TDS, the toughest race of the week-long UTMB world series finals of ultra-running.
Having started training on CurraNZ a few months leading into the race, he credited the product for giving him the best training block of his career that enabled him to podium at the famous festival in France.
Sam Harvey - Backyard Ultra world record equalling feat of epic proportions
Our Kiwi Backyard Ultra national record-holder equalled the world record in June, completing 101 loops, or 677.31km in Queensland, Australia.
Sam ran continuously for five days, completing a lap every hour and lowering the Australian and American records on laps 76 and 85.
Our Ultraman ambassador Simon Cochrane stormed to a sensational win in the World Championships in Hawaii in November, obliterating the record by 44 minutes in this three-day, 515km event.
The CurraNZ-powered Kiwi dominated the competition from start to finish in Hawaii and claimed several records against a world-class field of ultra-endurance triathletes.
Ruth Croft - dominating wins in Germany and South Africa
Our 2022 Western States champion put up a superb effort to dominate the 100km women's race at Ultra-Trail Cape Town last month.
One of the world's leading trail runners, this success rounded off her year after her 88km win in Zugspitz Ultratrail, Germany's biggest trail running event in June, where she won by two hours!
The Kiwi professional ultra-runner found his form with CurraNZ in spectacular style mid-year, finishing 15th at UTMB before winning the Atacama Crossing, a five-day 250km multi-day stage desert race in Chile.
The Christchurch runner broke several records just three weeks after racing in the 100km World Series Final three weeks earlier, reigniting ambitions of becoming World No1 in France next year.
Dr David Haunschmidt - 2023 Xtrail European Trail Champion
The CurraNZ ambassador from Wellington set sail to Europe for a three-week blitz, winning the 2023 Xterra European Trail Championship and Ben Nevis Ultra in course-record time.
A hamstring injury derailed his competitive hopes at his first race in the UTMB OCC, but he recovered sufficiently to dominate in remaining two races during his whirlwind trip.
This seals a superb year for David, who also set the Tarawera 50km Ultra-Marathon record in February.
Kevin Sinfield - 7 ultra-marathons in 7 days
The Motor Neurone Disease Charity campaigner completed the '7 in 7' ultra-marathon challenge around Britain in December, raising funds in the name of his friend Rob Burrows, who suffers with the debilitating condition.
Kevin, England Rugby's defence coach, has raised millions for the charity through his running exploits, and we are proud to supply him with CurraNZ for his ultra-endurance challenges.
