Kiwi champion delighted to have discovered CurraNZ

on July 18, 2020

OUR topic of blood flow this week leads nicely to another related benefit of blackcurrant - muscle recovery.

Greater blood flow supports tissue repair, which is so important after undertaking exercise, and invaluable for hard-working athletes – as our Customer of the Month has discovered.

Meet rising athletics star and gold-medal-winning New Zealand athlete, Tatiana Kaumoana, who contacted us recently after being introduced to CurraNZ by another leading Kiwi field athlete.

The 20-year-old multiple National Discus Champion is amongst the cream of New Zealand athletes seeking selection for next year’s Tokyo Olympics.

She says: “I was very excited to try CurraNZ to help out with DOMs and the big double-session days over Lockdown.

“I would usually be pretty stiff after these double-session days on a Thursday night, but after taking CurraNZ I felt pretty good – I can’t wait to see my recovery progress for future trainings!"

Tatiana discovered CurraNZ through Julia Ratcliffe, New Zealand’s leading women’s hammer thrower.

Like Julia, she has shot to stardom in recent years. The Waikato athlete won eight national titles at secondary and age-group level and was third in her first year as a senior at the National Champs. She consolidated her position as the best in her age group when winning silver for New Zealand at the Youth Commonwealth Games in the Bahamas in 2017.

Last year she was selected for the New Zealand Oceania Athletics team in Townsville, Australia, winning Gold in the U20 Women’s discus and 4th in the Open Women’s discus and went to the World University Games in Naples, Italy, her biggest international tournament of her career so far.

Tatiana is an athlete going places and we wish her all the best in her future endeavors.
