New Kiwi CurraNZ ambassador Caitlin Fielder has set herself a high bar for the 2023 season, with three elite races over a six-week period, in distances up to 50km.
Caitlin kicked off her campaign at Zegama, Italy, followed by the World Mountain & Trail Running Championships, where she represented New Zealand and 17 days later will be taking on the gruelling Mount Blanc Marathon.
Caitlin had a strong race at Zegama, coming in 2nd place in a time of 4:34.04 over the 50km course.
A great result, she then travelled to Innsbruck, Austria to meet up with the NZ team and fly the Silver Fern again in the 50km event. A highly respectable 12th out of 114 participants, Caitlin was aiming a bit higher in the rankings but came away with a credible result.
Next stop was the Mount Blanc Marathon, where she podiumed in third.
The pro runner says: "I have been using Curranz for over three months now and believe I can truly feel the difference.
"It used to take me a long time to feel recovered after an effort or race, but by including Curranz in my routine I noticed I was feeling a lot better within the first week post races. This was very evident after racing Zegama."
The positive changes don't stop there, either.
"I found in Zegama that my fuelling on carbs was great, I took on board 1.5 times the amount than usual, which I've never been able to do before."
We're proud to be sponsoring this elite Kiwi runner, who specialises in distances over 50km and will be heading to more top-calibre races in Italy in July and Switzerland in August after the Mont Blanc Marathon.
