Doctor champions CurraNZ metabolic research: 'There's much to gain from this'

on October 23, 2025

Dr Renee Hoenderkamp – a practicing GP, medical writer and broadcaster and expert for GB News and ITV - has taken to Instagram to champion the latest CurraNZ blackcurrant metabolic and heart-health research, signalling a wave of medical interest in our evidence-backed berry supplementation.

In her post (HERE), Dr Hoenderkamp praised CurraNZ’s science for its fat burning and cardiovascular properties, shining a spotlight on the product as a natural, safe alternative as a weight loss aid.

She says, “This is exciting for me, when I’m seeing weight loss jabs being pushed on a daily basis, with so many side effects - known and unknown.

“This is a safe and apparently effective weight loss aid made entirely of an extract of blackcurrant – CurraNZ - that can supercharge fat burning by an average of 28% - and up to 200% - and has a greater effective in women who carry more body fat.

“Impressively, it enhanced post-exercise reductions in blood pressure by up to 11%.

“You know I think natural is always better, its combination of cardio-metabolic and anti-obesity effects make it a natural, safe, daily natural intervention for Type 2 Diabetes and experts should be considering it.

“Just seven days on the supplement led the group to burn 3.6gm fat in one hour of exercise. Across a month, exercising five times a week would equates to an average of 72gm of fat.

“There isn’t much to lose here, from what I’ve read – and much to gain.”
