CURRANZ multisport ambassador Dougal Allan has scorched to another win, this time in the world's largest adventure race, Augusta Adventure Fest, in Western Australia.
Fresh from two wins in team events in China last month, Dougal headed to Perth for the two-day race that involved swimming, kayaking, trail running and mountain biking.
The New Zealander, who had previously finished fourth, second and second in three previous Augusta races, was rewarded for his consistency on day one to be crowned the overall winner for the Saturday ‘Adventure Warrior’ event.
Dougal, who takes CurraNZ as a key part of his supplement regime, says: "I was feeling a bit jaded by the four Saturday events, so I was anxious to know how my body would respond the next day. As it turned out I had a great race on the Sunday too and managed to take the overall line honours, beating the teams in the process.
"My recent racing has returned a clean sweep of victories, something that obviously brings immense satisfaction and confidence leading into my NZ summer of competitions."
