ELITE CurraNZ athlete Dougal Allan has triumphed again in the world’s longest-running and most gruelling multisport race, New Zealand’s Coast To Coast.
Like last year, both the winner and runner-up used CurraNZ to take the top places from a field of 170 in the 243km World Multisport Championship.
Runner-up Sam Manson had led all the way but after ten hours, was overtaken by top-ranked Dougal (left) 30km from the finish on the bike leg, his strongest discipline
Our Kiwi endurance legend, who started favourite amongst a field of quality elites, finished the race in 11 hours and nine minutes.
The Coast to Coast is one of the world’s longest- running Multisport events, which starts on the West Coast of New Zealand and traverses the width of the South Island, finishing on New Brighton Beach in Christchurch.
Dougal has used CurraNZ for many years now, and credits the supplement as a 'game changer' - and the only supplement he uses.
The race has become a rite of passage for international Multisport athletes, with over 20,000 people having completed the event in its 39-year history.
This is the second time Dougal has won the race, after his title in 2019. He was runner-up last year.
