THIS month we’re welcoming a new ambassador to Team CurraNZ, multisport athlete Kath Kelly who has been flying since using CurraNZ in October.
Kath, 46, has been involved in mountain bike racing and multi-sport for ten years and won her age category at the 2018 Coast To Coast. She discovered CurraNZ at the backend of last year, when she used our berries in the build-up to the brutal six-day mountain biking race, The Pioneer, staged around Central Otago in Queenstown, Alexandra and Bannockburn.
Then last weekend, our latest CurraNZ-powered athlete took the honours in the two-day multisport race, the Red Bull Defiance, in Wanaka.
The Otago-ite says: “I have struggled with the longer multi-day races that go beyond four days and was looking for a product that could help me recover quicker and get me to the next level of racing.
“I started taking CurraNZ five weeks prior to the Pioneer. I felt instant results and believe that it certainly helped with the training leading up to the race and my performance.”
Kath and her teammate Peg Leyland made a clean sweep of the stage wins to win the masters women category and were fourth female team overall.
“My main goal was to finish strong and not be grovelling to the finish line, like I have done in previous 7-8 day events.
I achieved this with CurraNZ and am excited about the product - it has been a game changer for me.”
