Allan reports 'amazing' recovery and training consistency on CurraNZ in build-up to IronMan Australia

on April 19, 2018
KIWI triathlete ambassador Dougal Allan reported on the amazement recovery he is observing using CurraNZ after racing Contact Epic, New Zealand's longest mountain biking event on Sunday.

A leading light on the New Zealand multi-sport scene, the course record holder for the Wanaka race finished second in this year's event, billed as 'New Zealand's Ultimate Biking Challenge'.

"Here is the thing though, my legs were SWEET the next day! My upper body (shoulders, lats) were smashed which makes sense given I have been sitting on a TT bike (mostly indoors) so I wasn't exactly conditioned to the mountains, but after 4hr45min of hard riding, I was pleased my legs were so good afterwards. Thanks CurraNZ!

"I'm in the thick of my IronMan training so I was pleased with this result! I even managed a 14km run off the bike which drew a few weird looks!"

Dougal is one of the leading contenders to race IronMan Australia next weekend, one of his main target races this year.

A daily CurraNZ user, he says: "My training consistency has been super pleasing lately. Surely the freshness I feel each day has something to do with the magic berries. I am also PB'ing in the pool almost every week at the moment, recovery between sessions is amazing."
