1000km World Record attempt to raise awareness for mental health

on November 24, 2021
Matt Fenn is going to attempt something crazy - he's is going to run 100km a day for 10 days to set a new world record. BUT he's not going to stop until his social media post reaches 1 Million comments to raise awareness for mental health.
This is not the first time Matt has attempted some amazing running feat to get people talking and engaging in the issue of mental health in NZ.
Earlier this year he ran laps around the Auckland Domain, one lap for each person who took their own life - 654 laps! We tried to get some product to Matt as he ran rings around Auckland Domain but it didn't happen so we're on board for this attempt to help Matt get there. December 1st Matt will be based down at Wynyard Quarter and will be running a 1km lap. He can't be too far away from help should he urgently require assistance.
Matt is in partnership with I AM HOPE.  I AM HOPE is the youth and community focused support group run by The Key to Life Charitable Trust, started by Mike King. For the last three years Key To Life have been promoting positive attitudinal societal change in schools and communities up and down the country, and funding private care and counselling for young people stuck-in-the-mud on waiting lists.
One of our staff members will be running a lap with Matt to support his efforts.
